Inspired by Moments, Driven by Memories

Paul Dean, the founder and Creative Director of Forever on Film, leads a team of highly skilled documentary filmmakers with years of experience in creating award-winning short-form films. With a natural empathy and a talent for listening, as the lead interviewer and researcher, Paul oversees every detail of the process, making sure that each story is told with authenticity, respect, and thoughtful care.

Paul’s own life journey has shaped his passion for storytelling. Raised in a single-parent household, he faced the loss of his mother to alcoholism in his formative years, an experience that forged his deep understanding of personal hardship. Paul went on to serve as an elite Royal Marine Commando, travelling the world and seeing life through a global lens.

After meeting the love of his life, Angela, and raising two children, Paul continued to serve in both the UK and Australian Police Forces, including remote outback postings. Throughout his years as a police officer, Paul witnessed every facet of human life - from moments of bravery and joy, to the depths of tragedy and loss. These experiences gave him a deep sense of empathy and a unique ability to connect with people on a personal level, making him a trusted and skilled interviewer.

Like you, Paul has experienced loss, heartbreak, joy, love, dumb luck, wild adventures, miscalculations, hilarious situations, and more than one forgotten night. He knows that everyone has a story worth telling, and his mission is to capture these narratives with authenticity and cinematic beauty, creating a lasting legacy that families can cherish and share across generations.

At its heart, Forever on Film is about slowing things down and giving stories the space they deserve. In a world that moves quickly, we create time to reflect, remember, and record the moments that shape a life.

Our approach is calm, considered, and deeply personal. We don’t rush interviews or force narratives. Instead, we listen carefully, follow the natural rhythm of each story, and allow honesty to lead the way. Every film is treated as a one-of-a-kind project, crafted with the same care and attention we would give our own family histories.

These films are not performances. They are conversations. They are memories spoken aloud, preserved with clarity and respect, and shaped into something future generations can truly connect with.

Because stories fade if they’re not told. And once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.
